Upper Bearing Carrier Puller (AMT0016)

The Marine Tech Tools Upper Bearing Carrier Puller removes upper bearing carriers and bearing carrier oil seals from outboard lower units without damaging the housing. Adjustable arms fit most upper bearing carrier diameters, and the included Yamaha drive shaft collar adapter (AMT0013) extends the tool to remove Yamaha drive shaft collars as well.

I'm not a mechanic but do most repairs short of rebuildling the engine. Purchased this set to remove & install the diveshaft collar above the Impeller within seconds ,& bearing housing to easily remove & replace the seals etc.

Works Perfect for pulling those stupid Yamaha retainers off the water pump impeller. With twin outboards, it will pay for it's self in a few years of annual maintenance with the time it saves you to get them off. 1 or 2 slides and its off. Set up is simple and the whole process of getting the tool in place and pulling those retainers takes under a minute.

I highly recommend this tool. You need to order these before your next service.

Removed upper bearing on a 1991 Yamaha with just 3 light taps using the puller. Puller is a professional grade tool.

Three bumps and it was out

My Upper Bearing Carrier was stuck and there was no way to pry this thing out with screw drivers so I could replace the seals.

While this is a pretty pricey tool, upon receiving it and putting the arms on it, three bumps in about 10 seconds and the Upper Bearing Carrier was out so I could replace the seals.

It's a very well built tool, probably more suited to a professional marine mechanic that does this for a living rather than a shade tree mechanic, but it absolutely did the job it was designed for.

Very solidly built and performed its function flawlessly. Delivery was very quick. I may never use it again but glad I bought it as it made a desperate situation quite painless. Kudos guys for a well built tool.
