Get to know the team of people who make up Marine Tech.

Nine times out of ten, when you think of Marine Tech, you’ll think of our tools. This is, of course, our goal, but we also want to know and meet the people behind Marine Tech. This includes the people who create the tools, but it’s also the people who have bought from Marine Tech for years and share our passion.

Today we’re introducing you to Matt, who’s an engineer at Marine Tech. Read below for a quick Q&A with Matt. To learn more about Marine Tech as whole, get to know us here.

How did you get into boating and repair?

My grandparents had an old boat that almost never ran as it should and as a kid I was unable to help out with repairs. I fell in love with boating back then and over the years as a boat owner, maintaining my own equipment, I have learned how to repair just about everything without having to wait months for a dealer.

What was the first tool or part you bought from Marine Tech?

AMT0004. It is the best tool on the market and made the job easy.

Tell us a bit more about what you're passionate about when it comes to boating.

I love saltwater fishing whether it's trolling for Mahi and Wahoo or bottom fishing for Black Seabass and Grouper. I enjoy cruising the coastal waters around Charleston with my friends and family. Recently, I have fallen in love with Duck hunting in the salt marsh. I love to talk about anything related to boats and boating.
