2003 Yamaha f225 removed trim caps with no problem, 100% the right tool for the job

Tool was very useful removing the seal caps on my 2015 Yamaha 250 SHO. First time they were removed in 10 years with no issues. I mostly run freshwater in south Louisiana, but I always flush and rinse the motor when I run in saltwater.

This tool made changing the seals on my trim shafts incredibly easy!! It took the cups off the tops of the cylinders with ease. I was able to do all 4 of them on my F250's in about an hour.

Best quality. Do not use the two pin simple wrench that is with some kits. Buy this one and do the job right with a quality torque wrench when tightening up.

after purchasing another tool from a different supplier that became deformed after the first attempt at removing the cylinder caps I was very happy that the Marine Tech tool had the strength to do the job without destroying the tool.

Seems like a great product, they sent me the wrong SKU but they are sending me the new one along w/ a shipping label to send the incorrect product back. My slight inconvenience for a trip to drop off the return is no reason to take off a star. Things happen.

The tool works well. I was fortunate enough that the Yamaha trim rams are the same size as the SeaStar hydraulic ram, so I only had to buy one pin/spanner wrench. I also like the fact that the pins are replaceable.

This is a well made tool which worked perfectly for my 2004 Mercahama 225 Four-stroke. This fits both the trim and tilt cylinders on this motor. If you need an AMT0004 for your endcaps, this is the tool to buy. Shipping was fast.

Broke 2 spanners, and even tried a pipe wrench prior to buying this tool...worked fantastic...came off easy with a short pipe for leverage.

Purchased pin wrench, AMT0004, to remove the tilt cap off my 2002 Yamaha 90 TLRA to allow replacement of the seal. The tool is well made and was supplied with two sizes of pins. The S-4 pins fit the holes in the cap perfectly. The cap was on tight but this tool along with a 24" breaker removed it. When using, make sure you keep the tool tight against the cap!
