Hydraulic Steering Filler Kit with Swivel

Developed in response to customer feedback about the difficulty of connecting and disconnecting fill tubes at the helm, this kit adds a quick-disconnect fitting to the fill tube for a leak-free connection that releases cleanly when the system is full. The brass helm adapter prevents cross-threading. Makes filling, bleeding, and purging SeaStar hydraulic steering systems faster and cleaner.

    Key Features

    • Quick-disconnect fitting for leak-free connection and clean release when full
    • Brass helm adapter prevents cross-threading at the fill opening
    • Works on complex systems including autopilot, power assist, and multi-helm configurations
    • Lifetime warranty

    Compatibility

Fits all SeaStar hydraulic helms on outboard, sterndrive, and inboard applications.

    Great tool

This filler kit fit the quart bottle perfectly and never leaked. The quick disconnect fitting worked great and I was able to connect and disconnect with spilling any fluid on my boat console. The hose quality and brass fittings are top quality, and the parts ordered arrived very quickly. Tool worked great for me.

Having the right tools help the job go smooth.

Used this device to fill / bleed my BayStar hydraulic steering on my Scout 195SF. This is a great tool to have making the job go smooth. The plus on this filler kit over others is the use of a metal adapter on both the steering fluid container end and the helm fill port. This helps to make a tight seal.

    Good but needs improvement.

Good concept, the one weakness is the plastic screw cap. Several attempts required to thread cap onto the steering fluid container. Easy to cross thread, not thread. Screwed many rotations until it came up snug; discovered only after filling that I had barely caught a single (maybe half thread) - narrowly avoiding a large oil spill in my boat. The quick disconnect on opposite end worked well.
