Great tools

This bleed tool fit my HC5345 SeaStar perfectly. The fittings never leaked and this bleed tool was used along with the quart bottle filler kit (Marine Tech part AMT0117) to complete the job. The brass fittings and hose quality on these bleed tools are top quality and these bleed tools were well worth the money. The parts ordered arrived very quickly.

Great tool, wish I purchased this on my first bleed job, first time I bleed my Baystar steering the old school way and used 2 quarts of oil and needed a buddy. This tool used only the oil needed (I had to swap out the cylinder and only used 3/4 of quart) and I was able to do this solo. Best $20 I've spent!

This is must have when messing with a SeaStar steering cylinder or even just topping it off after tightening up a leak. The quick disconnects are self-closing upon disconnect, so they don't drip fluid everywhere after you pull them off the cylinder.

Hose is too short for certain applications

If both of your bleeders are pointing to the starboard side, this line is too short. I tried to call customer service and received no follow-up after lady said she would call me back. Their clear line which is attached to the bleeder fittings says it is rated up to 150psi, if you have to make your own line (which I ended up having to do myself due to not receiving follow-up from the company) it is very hard to find this line. Since this is on the low pressure side I believe it will be ok with a lesser rated hose. At any rate, this item isn’t a buy and use for certain applications but don’t look for help from the company - there was no effort to help me after I spoke with the lady.

Great tool

Perfect tool to bleed the air out my SeaStar Pro steering system. I thought I had the air out doing it the old way with the help of my wife (two person job) but with this tool it was a breeze by myself and got another more air out the system...even after bleeding it the old fashioned way. Well worth the money to have around.

Well made and effective. Instructions absent.

Easy to use after watching enough youtube videos. However the open/close of bleeder valves and wheel turn sequence is inconsistent across youtube. Instructions or a link to the correct steps for SeaStar systems would be most helpful for beginners like myself. The quick disconnect on the companion fill kit made for easy air "burping" of the fill container. Well made. Highly recommend.
