Pull a stuck bearing carrier with a slide hammer instead of a bearing carrier puller. The AMT0054-005 threads onto the prop shaft in place of the prop nut (M16 thread) on Yamaha 30–100hp, Tohatsu and Honda outboards, and a standard automotive slide hammer (5/8-18 UNF) threads into the other end, so each hit draws the carrier and prop shaft straight out of the gearcase. Works on standard and counter-rotating lower units. Black oxide coated steel. Backed by the Marine Tech Tools lifetime warranty.

I'm glad there is finally ...

I'm glad there is finally a reputable company that makes durable marine products. I've been in the Marine business well over 20 years and have tried numerous brands and never have I found good quality marine tools. Marine Tech will always be my go-to!

Was not hard at all using the right tool. I did it myself saving time and hundereds of dollars.

Was not expecting to have to tear into the output shaft on my lower unit but thats not the story. After checking with several local outboard service centers and being brushed off I found the tool I needed to do the job on my own. I found a U-Tube video showing the tool I needed and went to Tech Marine Tools website and ordered it. The tool arrived quickly, I hooked it up and went to work and I had the lower unit's output shaft and bearing out in about 15 minutes and no damage to any of the parts. Its not hard to do, you just need the right tool. Awesome product.

    Great tool

Well-built solid products. I will not have to replace this tool in the future. I purchased all three pullers for Yamaha Outboards. It is great investment from a well-established company.
