These pins are the result of years of material testing and development. We worked to identify the specific combination of alloy, heat treatment, and geometry that maximizes both strength and toughness in a marine service environment. Our benchmark was 200 ft-lb on our smallest diameter pin wrench. Larger pin sizes carry significantly higher working strength.
Marine Tech Tools wrenches and pins share a common naming system. The body letter (L or S) identifies the wrench body size and the number identifies the pin diameter in millimeters. A wrench stamped 32L accepts L body pins. The matching pins are designated L-4, L-5, L-6, and so on, where the number is the pin diameter in millimeters. Match the body letter and diameter on your wrench to select the correct set.

Pins are very strong. The best I have found along with trim cap removal tools.

Heat trim cylinder with a torch and use something to hold the tool tight to the trim cylinder cap to avoid shearing off these pins.
