    Marine Trim and Tilt Impact Tool (AMT0012)

    When a pin wrench cannot break a seized trim/tilt end cap loose, the AMT0012 is the next step. It drives into the cap using a standard air hammer and removes it without the risk of damaging the tilt rod or cylinder body. This is a destructive removal method. The end cap cannot be reused after removal, but the cylinder and rod are preserved for resealing.

    This tool made shockingly quick work of a saltwater tilt cylinder cap that had the wrench pin holes rounded out previously. Absolutely unsportsman like. I can't remember the last time I laughed at how well a tool worked for me. Three thumbs up!

    After all wrenches failed to get the job done, I ordered this hammer tool and after a few shots of PB blaster, this tool was the saving grace to remove the trim caps. Thanks so much, Marine tech tools.

    When all the wrenches failed, this was my last hope. I ordered it, hooked it up to my Air hammer, and although these trim caps were sealed on there extremely tight, this tool after several sprays of PB blaster, got the job done. This tool was the saving grace. Thanks Marine tech tools.

    The Trim / tilt cap chisel looks to be of excellent design and quality , See my review,

    I have purchased several tools from Marine Tech ... They are all Very high quality and generally make repairs easier then OEM factory tools.
    I purchased the trim /tilt chisel but did not need to use it.. I was able to remove the caps with Marine Tech's standard tool (AMT004). I had tried at least half a dozen times on each cap using the factory OEM tool, only to fail each time. The AMT004 got the job done and I was able to re-use the caps.
