Yamaha F75, F90, F150, and 3.3L Flywheel Puller

Had a f150 leaking at the tstat. Flywheel frozen in place and universal puller couldn't make it happen. Gave this puller a try with the help of a half in. Impact. Made it look easy

This was the BEST investment I ever made for a puller! I messed with an off the shelf puller from Advanced Auto and it could not get the job done. This puller is a perfect simple machine! Pulled both flywheels on my 2012 F150XA Yamahas in less than 10 minutes. Seeing was believing!

After trying and failing with a standard 3 jaw puller (literally pulled grade 8 bolt until they stretched and broke. Tried grade 10.8. No dice.) This thing worked like a champ.
Still took a bit of encouragement with the impact but the flywheel popped right off.
This puller is a much lager diameter than the standard 3 jaw. I’m guessing that has something to do with the force applied. Nothing is flexing. All forces applied are doing work.

I teach four Yamaha MCP classes plus Honda Small engine, seeing well over 100 students per year. With access to all OEM tools, I can say that the effort that MTech has put into building high quality tools is well worth it. On all occasions where we tried the OEM tool and it failed, the MarineTech version completed the job without breaking. The machining is second to none.

I had just seen this exact puller in use at my local marina today. I gave up trying with another puller I had and took the boat so as they could pull the flywheel for me. She was on ridiculously tight. It with a half inch impact it pooped and rang. I’m buying one for next go around!

Exceptionally well built! I am a "tool guy," so you will find no Harbor Freight tools in my box. Even so, my Proto 3-Bolt puller would not get my Yamaha F150 flywheel off. The Yamaha puller is about $350, so I thought I'd give this one a try.

I didn't have enough arm strength to do it with an 18" breaker bar, but I ran the bolt down twice with my 1/2" DeWalt impact wrench and on the second go it popped right off! I didn't even need to hit it with a hammer!

This puller was purchased in advance of a timing belt change on a Yamaha F150 TLR. I was concerned about beating the hell out of my flywheel in that I have had bad experiences in the past with a tapered fit. No problem, the interface between the puller and flywheel was very professional and a few sharp blows on the center bolt with a rawhide mallet and bingo off she come.

Excellent product, I have bought several Marine Tech Tools and they perform better than anything out there including factory tools.

This puller is solid, but I still managed to break off a bolt until I adjusted my procedure for pulling that stubborn flywheel. Also, the management was nice enough to send me a second set of bolts. Great puller indeed.

I fracture a universal puller and decided to order this puller. It got the flywheel loose in less time than it took to open the packaging. No scratches on the end of the crank either... nice. Great addition to the shop.
