Lifting or moving your outboard motor can be both difficult and dangerous without the right equipment, especially for motors without built-in lifting rings of their own. To solve this issue we’ve developed our own universal lifting system with a universal lifting ring and adapters to fit your boat. No need to pay someone else to do it when there’s a simple DIY solution available.
The parts can be purchased separately, or together in our lifting kits.
Universal Lifting Ring (SKU #: AMT0022): $47
The foundational component of our Universal Lifting System, the Universal Lifting Ring can be used alone (on all non-Verado Mercury outboards or any outboard with a 1.5” threaded flywheel) or together with any of our lifting adapters. It can safely lift up to 1,000 lbs.
Marine Tech Lifting Adapters
These adapters are designed to be used together with the Universal Lifting Ring, which we mentioned above.
Adapter, Lifting, OMC, BRP (SKU #: AMT0046): $47
This lift adapter is compatible with OMC, BRP flywheels on outboards with no built-in lifting rings.
It comes with two sets of screws, which must be used with the correct models:
- The short screws are NOT compatible with a 90° V6 flywheel
- The long screws are NOT compatible with a 40 to 90 HP
Also, note that the adapter is NOT compatible with a 60° V4/V6 that lifts from the crankshaft.
Evinrude G2 Lifting Adapter 357667 (SKU #: AMT0070): 97
The Evinrude G2 Lifting Adapter attaches to the top of the flywheel and connects a slide hammer to the prop shaft to remove the bearing carrier from stand and counter-rotating lower units.
Mercury and Yamaha Flywheel Puller (SKU #: AMT0023): $35
This flywheel puller has a zero-friction ball bearing head and easily removes flywheels from Mercury outboards. It’s compatible with all Mercury flywheels that have 1.5” threads, as well as Verado flywheels.
Use the puller with the following adapters:
- For Yamaha: Yamaha Lifting Adapter (AMT0025)
- For Verado: Verado Lifting Adapter (AMT0024)
Verado Lifting Adapter (SKU #: AMT0024): $89
Our Verado Lifting Adapter can be used together with the Universal Lifting Ring on all Mercury Verado and 150HP 4-Stroke Outboard motors. It makes lifting or mounting your Mercury outboard a breeze.
Yamaha Lifting Adapter V8, V6 (SKU #: AMT0025): $97
The Yamaha Lifting Adapter is compatible with Yamaha outboards, including: 5.3 V8, 5.6 V8, 4.2 V6, F200B, F115B, F425, and all future Yamaha outboards without built-in lifting eyes. It works together with the Universal Lifting Ring to mount or lift Yamaha outboard motors quickly, easily, and safely.
