Great Product, works as it should, Same Quality as OEM

Great product, works as it should. SeaStar OEM is plastic also. The Tubing comes from the factory rolled up so it has a NATURAL bend in it. if you are having a problem threading the plastic 1/4 pipe threads into the helm, spin the threads counter clockwise until you feel the end of the threads cross then turn clockwise. you will feel the threads engage and tighten down. you will have to spin the the tubing assembly, then attach the quart oil bottle. If you do not like the plastic threads, purchase the fill kit with swivel for only 10.00 more .

the major problem with this part is the soft plastic threaded insert which is attached to a permanently bent tube. it is virtually impossible to get the threads to seat properly into the pump housing. the result is mangled threads - completely unusable. they should have used a metal threaded insert.
