35mm x 6mm Pin Wrench (AMT0309)

The Marine Tech Tools AMT0309 is the 300 Series upgrade to the original AMT0009, engineered for removing hydraulic trim/tilt end caps on Yamaha and Suzuki outboards. The heavy-duty 6mm pins and patented sleeve-and-receiver system lock the wrench into the cap so it cannot twist out under load, letting you apply full breaker bar torque without slipping.

Expensive But Well-made .

The wrench is well-built and worked very well for my 2006Yamaha F150. In my case, the outboard has been used on a freshwater lake since new so I didn't have any corrosion to deal with. A little tricky to use since one must keep the AMT0309 very flat against the cylinder caps while simultaneously turning the cheater bar used on with the socket wrench. In the end, the AMT0309 made short work of cap removal and installation.

AWESOME TOOL for the average do-it-yourself mechanic

Before buying this tool from Marine Tech I purchased several pin wrenches/spanner tool wrenches from Harbor Freight and Home Depot to remove the End Cap on my trim/tilt system and those tools did NOT work. Save yourself the time and money and buy this tool first.

Used this to service the trim/tilt cylinders on my 1999 OX66 Yamaha. Impressively well made tool. The tilt cylinder cap came right off using this tool after 25 years of being together.

I ordered this product anticipating replacing the tilt/trim seals on my boat as a precaution. The tool arrived on Thursday, and this Sunday the tilt/trim failed! Perfect timing. I was able to break down the tilt cylinders and rebuild them in about 3 hours. The tool was fantastic, and the instructional video was a big help also.
