    Find a leaking lower unit seal before water gets into the gear oil. The Marine Tech Tools AMT0195 pressure tests and vacuum tests a gearcase with one tool: flip the valve to switch modes and watch the high-visibility gauge to see if the case holds. Brass swivel quick-disconnects hook up fast without twisting the hose, and the Brass Gearcase Adapter Set (K1022) is included.

    Pressure checks the inner seals, whose lips face in to hold gear oil. Vacuum checks the outer seals, whose lips face out to keep water out. A gearcase that holds both is sealed. Backed by the Marine Tech Tools lifetime warranty.

    This worked well to pressure and vacuum test my Volvo DPS-A drive. The adapter fittings are high quality and worked well. It takes quite a bit of pumping to achieve the required pressure, but I'd recommend this tool.

    This is a decent brake ...

    This is a decent brake bleeder at best. It does not move enough volume to be an effective Gear Case Pressure Tester. We have some more elaborate brake bleeders as well as pressure/vacuum tools. I see this product being returned due to a lack of performance in the advertised task. That said we are a large boat service center and have always been satisfied with Marine Tech Tools. We use a wide variety of their products and couldn't be more satisfied.

    I can see this being too slow for a shop that does this test often. It works but it takes some work too.

    this is a rebranded product. Appears to be well made quality tester. adapters and tubing make it easy to attach and use. worked well on the outboards tested so far. good buy at current price comparing to others available.
