32mm x 4mm Pin Wrench (AMT0306)

The Marine Tech Tools AMT0306 is the 300 Series upgrade to the original AMT0006, engineered for removing hydraulic trim/tilt end caps on Yamaha, Honda, and Evinrude outboards. The patented sleeve-and-receiver system locks the wrench into the cap so it cannot twist out under load, letting you apply full breaker bar torque without slipping.

I had to replace a damaged trim rod

I had to replace a damaged trim rod on my Evinrude ETEC 150. This motor is 12 years old and the tilt-trim rams have never been removed before so I was expecting some difficulty in getting the end cap removed especially since the motor sees only saltwater service. This AMT 0306 tool fit perfectly on the trim cap and a 24" breaker bar made short work of removing the trim cap. Don't be fooled by those $20 removal tools - get this quality tool from Marine Tech because you get what you pay for.

Wrench Worked Well

The wrench is well-built and worked very well for my 2006Yamaha F150. In my case, the outboard has been used on a freshwater lake since new so I didn't have any corrosion to deal with. A little tricky to use since one must keep the AMT0306 very flat against the cylinder caps while simultaneously turning the cheater bar used on with the socket wrench. In the end, the AMT0306 made short work of cap removal and installation.

Used this to service the trim/tilt cylinders on my 1999 OX66 Yamaha. Impressively well made tool. The trim cylinder caps came right off using this tool after 25 years of being together.

Good quality and extra pins provided in case of shear failure

Tool worked great! I like that a couple extra pins were included in case of shear failure removing the cylinder caps. Comments from a you tube video recommended using a PVC pipe segment pushed down by the engine to apply pressure on the tool head and hold it firm against the caps while breaking the caps loose. I tried that and it worked very well. No pin failure or tool slipping off.

Purchased pin wrench, AMT0006, to remove the trim caps off my 2002 Yamaha 90 TLRA. Tool is well made and was supplied with two sizes of pins. Used the S-4 pins which were a perfect mate to the holes in the caps. Caps were on tight but this tool along with a 24" breaker will remove them.
