Awesome High Quality Tool for Duo Prop

Assuming I do not somehow lose this tool it is built extremely well and should be a one time purchase. This deserves 10 stars for quality and price point. If you are looking at this tool then like I was you are probably debating between this and the much lower quality combo tool that gets very mixed reviews. Many of those reviews comment on that other tool bending when using, there is no way you are gong to bend this tool. You will not regret spending a few extra dollars on this. I ended up buying this and a 1-3/16 socket for the rear propeller nut and am very happy with the decision, they will both last forever. I have used this to both remove and replace my props and it works perfectly utilizing the hole for a 1/2 inch ratchet. Stop debating if you own a duo prop THIS IS the tool you want!! Tip when removing and replacing the props I learned from my mechanic. Draw a line with a sharpie where the front prop meets the drive and where the two props meet in the middle. Another option I just used was to put electrical tape in those same locations and cut thru it where it meets the drive and the props meet which also worked very well. For reference my outdrive is a 1999 Volvo DP-SM and again I have used the tool and it works perfectly. On my outdrive the rear prop nut size is 1-3/16. Also for reference if you have the same drive the Volvo o ring part number you will need when changing the drive fluid are dipstick 3852045, vent plug 3855081, and drain plug 955981. Drain plug is 8mm hex, 3 drive cover screws are 3/8, vent plug is large flat head and dipstick is 9/16. I use Volvo 80w-90 Gear Lube 1141677 and specifications state 2.5 quarts. If you have the same 1999 Volvo 5.7 GSI PWTRCE motor I do here are some more part numbers. Volvo oil filter 3850559 and fuel filter 3852228. I use Volvo full synthetic 10w-40 21681795 and specifications state 6 quarts. Use this additional information at your own risk but I believe all part numbers and specifications are correct. Hopefully others will find the additional info helpful.

Improvement over the OEM tool

Great alternative to the OEM Volvo option which leaves you hanging in over torqued situations or even worse hurting when it smashes your hand. So good in fact, it will be the main tool used now and the OEM tool will be relegated to the back of the drawer
