The wrench is well-built and worked very well for my 2006Yamaha F150. In my case, the outboard has been used on a freshwater lake since new so I didn't have any corrosion to deal with. A little tricky to use since one must keep the AMT0306 very flat against the cylinder caps while simultaneously turning the cheater bar used on with the socket wrench. In the end, the AMT0306 made short work of cap removal and installation.

High quality tool you will have for a lifetime and higher quality than Sn-p On sells for 3x the price! Don’t ruin the trim caps on your outboard with the super cheap junk tools made in someone’s kitchen….

This tool was a lifesaver exactly fit quick removal and install in minutes worth every penny! Will eventually order more of these tools ???? as needed!

Good quality strong tool. Made it easy to remove trim tab covers on a 2002 90hp Honda outboard. I had tried a cheaper y shaped tool from Ebay, pin holes were miss drilled and bent, don't waist you time and money. Marine tool worked perfect.

Fits perfectly due to having 2 sets of pins included. NOW, if repair parts would arrive I could get the job done. Any chance Marine Tech could start selling Yami parts too? Your tool arrived in 2-3 days all the way across the country to Oregon. Can't wait to actually use it. Thanks. Bill

Used this to service the trim/tilt cylinders on my 1999 OX66 Yamaha. Impressively well made tool. The trim cylinder caps came right off using this tool after 25 years of being together.

Tool worked great! I like that a couple extra pins were included in case of shear failure removing the cylinder caps. Comments from a you tube video recommended using a PVC pipe segment pushed down by the engine to apply pressure on the tool head and hold it firm against the caps while breaking the caps loose. I tried that and it worked very well. No pin failure or tool slipping off.
