Removing your tilt/trim seal end caps is usually an easy task. However, in the event that they have seized up and won’t budge, a regular wrench won’t be the tool that takes care of the problem. In fact, continuous wrenching can lead to teeth breaking off, costly damage, or even personal injury. This makes the process much more expensive, difficult, and time-consuming.

Thankfully, Marine Tech has a solution! Our new Trim and Tilt Impact Tool is designed to remove hydraulic end caps when wrenches just won’t cut it.

The Marine Tech Trim and Tilt Impact Tool

Marine Tech’s trim and tilt impact tool is invaluable for those instances where a simple hand wrench will not work to remove seized end caps. The impact tool easily attaches to a standard air hammer with a 10mm shank. Simply insert the point into one of the holes on the end cap, make sure you have a good grip on your hammer, then apply a quick squeeze on the trigger.

You’ll be delighted at how quickly and easily your end caps begin to move! The trim and tilt impact tool saves you time and prevents other tools from being damaged.

Please note: This quick end cap removal process does destroy the end caps. Therefore, they cannot be reused after removal.

How to Use the Trim and Tilt Impact Tool

Our new tool removes seized trim and tilt end caps easily and efficiently. Although the end caps cannot be reused after removal, the time and money you’ll save by using our new impact tool are more than worth it.

Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to use the Marine Tech trim and tilt impact tool:

Attach the impact tool to a standard air hammer with a 10mm shank.
Carefully place the tip of the impact tool into one of the holes on the end cap (any hole will work).
Firmly grip the air hammer, then quickly squeeze the trigger a few times to loosen the end cap.

Just like that, the seized end cap will loosen, and you’ll be able to safely remove it without damaging any of your other tools!
